Useful Clixx – Podcast Cover Illustration
Useful Clixx is the podcast about SEO and user experience created by Stephanie Wölke and Marcel Schröder. In their podcast, Steffi and Marcel talk about how the know-how from user experience and SEO can only really ignite when they look at (search) and web experience topics together.
The scope of this project was to illustrate the podcast cover in a way that could show their dialogue, their encounter on the same theme coming from different perspectives. To do so, I created some sketches that could visualize these concepts together, also playing with the combination of usual symbols from the web user interface, such as icons and mouse pointers.
The final result shows Steffi and Marcel looking at each other in an open conversation, both holding their own symbol: Steffi a big mouse pointer representing the concept of user experience and Marcel a magnifier indicating SEO’s approach.
For Useful Clixx I have also designed their logo and helped them with the overall user interface of their website. Scroll down to see different versions of the cover, the logotype and preliminary sketches.
